Jessica Kern was raised on a rural outcropping near Dallas, Texas. Her parents first noticed her super-natural ability to communicate with animals at the age of 3. On a dusty fall day, a wild horse was spotted in the distance, charging towards her family’s encampment. While the rest of the group was engaged in preparing for a hunt, only Jessie noticed the animal swiftly approaching. Instead of running, or alerting an elder, Jessie quietly took out her lamb-skin drum and began pounding a slow beat. As the steed neared, it quickly halted, mesmerized by the heavenly rhythm. The horse swooped down and carried her away, only to return 17 months later. On her return Jessie greeted her family, again beating out a marvelous syncopation leaving the entire group entranced.
At the age of 18, she moved east, following the beat of her heart. She continued pursuing her love of horses, and rhythm, picking up the rock drums at the age of 22. Jessie has now completed her training as a massage therapist, hoping to heal the wounds of humans and animals in the greater Boston Area.
