Sipping on a few beers one lazy, hazy afternoon while playing a rousing game of skittles, we discussed the age-old debate of good vs. Evil. Between sips and turns my mate Richard reckoned there’s not much to discuss, while our friend Mary slammed her beer down, throwing the skittles into disarray, because once started on the topic of good vs. Evil she couldn’t stop. It’s certainly one of those topics that seems to divide friends and might even cause relationships to break down. Having rescued the game of skittles from Mary’s furore and re-issuing beers to those who were thirsty, we resumed our conversation but veered away from discussing anything too deep. So it all got a little boring as we talked about the weather, the food we were eating, the beers we were drinking and the skittles we were skittling. We resolved that next time we got together we’d stick to the simple things in life.

Her boyfriend and my date were best friends, so it was a total set up.
